May 2020 Update: Due to COVID-19 and the State of Maine's guidelines all classes and events at Stone Designs have been cancelled until further notice. Our onsite gallery, gardens and offices remain open for visitors. ______________________________________________________________________ A one day workshop where you will learn traditional and modern stone-working techniques, with a variety of activities for any skill level, from beginner to advanced. Make a birdbath, leaf sculpture, wind stones and stacked stone or your own creative sculpture. We provide all safety gear and material (stones). However, you are welcome to bring any of your own stone(bigger the better) or safty gear. Make sure you wear work clothes and closed-toe shoes. The tools we use for this class are a rotary impact stone hammer drill, 5 inch angle grinder with diamond blade and hammer & chisels. Please bring your own Lunch for a noon break option. Registrations for sculpture classes are accepted year-round. To secure a session, 50% of fees are due with the application, with the balance paid prior to or at the start of the workshop. We offer a discount for self organized group classes, call for rates and dates! In the event that a workshop has low enrollment (under six students), announcement will be made two weeks prior to schedule. If a workshop is cancelled all pre-registration money will be refunded in full. If a pre-registered workshop participant cancels, their payment will be returned in full, provided we receive notification at least 14 days ahead of the start date. Rain or Shine!
