BECOME A VOLUNTEER!

Volunteers are an integral part of the Granite Garden Gallery, from gardening to special events and more... our volunteers' service is invaluable- from daily tasks to one-time projects, volunteers serve on an as-needed basis.

Who can become a Granite Garden Gallery volunteer?

You can! There’s something for volunteers of all ages and interests.  Volunteer positions are open to all individuals who meet application requirements and are willing to commit to required waivers and to time minimums (not applicable to all positions). Examples of work for volunteers includes: stacking stones, pruning trees, tending to the garden, clearing trails and pathways, general maintenance/improving of grounds, collecting and sorting stones on site or from beaches/rivers- the sky is the limit!

Training is available for all volunteer positions.

What’s in it for me?

  • The opportunity to meet new and interesting people with similar interests!

  • Gain knowledge! Whether it’s researching for the Gallery's Archives; or general knowledge about this historic quarry site and the gallery's collections or techniques, there is much information to be gleaned. Hands on gardening and landscape experience too!

  • Gain a sense of pride in preserving this unique cultural and historic destination.
